Headaches

Chiropractic is not just only treating the symptoms of the problem but also the root of it.

A common cause of headaches is the malfunction of the cervical (neck). When the vertebrae lose their normal motion or position, the nerves that go to the head can be affected. These spinal nerves and other tissues, when they are stretched or irritated, can cause frequent headaches. Some medicines may ease the discomfort but but do not correct the spinal problem, the origin of pain.

Headaches and Chiropractic

The two most common are headaches with muscle tension and migraine. Headaches produce muscle tension constant pain, from mild to moderate, with no stitches on both sides of the head and are accompanied by contractions in the upper shoulder and neck. The cause is often due to irritation of spinal nerves that carry nerve signals to these muscles.

The other type of headache is migraine. The pain is unilateral and throbbing followed by nausea and sometimes vomiting.

Note that it is not normal to suffer headaches. Chiropractic adjustments correct the malfunction of the intervertebral joints created by various problems physical, emotional or chemical.
